How investing works

Five steps from an account to the first repayment. Every step happens on the platform, and the money is always held by the payment partner.

  1. 1

    Account and verification

Create an account, confirm your email and complete identity verification once.

  2. 2

    Choose a campaign

Each campaign is one project company with its documents, terms and collateral described in full.

  3. 3

    Reserve an amount

Reserve from the minimum ticket. You can withdraw without reason within the cooling-off period.

  4. 4

    Threshold reached, contract signed

When the campaign reaches its threshold the loan contract is signed electronically. If not, every reservation is returned.

  5. 5

    Repayments on schedule

Interest and principal arrive on the dates in the schedule; you follow every payment in your account.

Why KANTON

A campaign finances one company, but that company is part of a territory designed as a single system. That is what makes the loans repayable.

Territory as the product

A commune becomes one economic and social system with a master plan, budgets and a management company.

Closed cycles

Energy, water, feed, organics and processing are linked, so the waste of one object becomes the resource of another.

Transparent structure

Territorial and sector SPVs with separate budgets, open tenders, KPIs and reporting to the municipality and investors.

People stay

Jobs next to home, housing, health, sport and culture: reasons for families and the diaspora to stay or return.

Risks and status

Investing in a crowdfunding project involves the risk of losing all the money invested.

Your capital is at risk. Loans to project companies are not bank deposits, are not guaranteed, and cannot be sold before repayment. Never invest more than you can afford to lose.

The platform runs in demo mode: the first real offer is being prepared, and every figure is preliminary and subject to review.

Questions

What is the minimum ticket?

Each campaign sets its own minimum, shown on the campaign card.

Which currency?

Campaigns are in EUR. Your wallet at the payment partner is in EUR as well.

Are there fees for investors?

No entry or holding fees for investors on the first campaigns. Any fee is stated on the campaign page before you reserve.

What if a campaign does not reach its threshold?

Every reservation is released back to your wallet in full. No contract is signed and nothing is charged.

Can I exit early?

Within the cooling-off period you can withdraw a reservation without reason. After the contract is signed the loan runs to its term; a secondary market is planned later.

How are taxes handled?

Interest is income in your country of tax residence. You receive a yearly statement of interest paid to declare it.

Who holds my money?

The payment partner. The platform never holds investor money; it keeps the ledger and issues instructions.

How do repayments arrive?

On the dates in the schedule, into your wallet at the payment partner, from where you can withdraw to your bank account.
