Before you invest

Loss capacity simulator

Work out how much you could lose without hardship: 10% of your net worth. Law 181/2023 (Art. 28) asks this of everyone who is not a sophisticated investor. No account needed.

The figures you enter stay in this browser: the platform does not see or store them and cannot change the result. Only the result reaches the questionnaire, and only when you send it.

Usually 31 December of last year. If your situation has changed a lot since then, pick a later day, up to today.
All income for the year after tax and contributions: salary, pension, benefits, dividends, interest, rent.
Money in accounts and what you can sell quickly. Property, personal belongings and earlier crowdfunding investments do not count.
Everything you must pay in a year: rent, mortgage, loans, maintenance, insurance, utilities, subscriptions, taxes.
Fill in the three amounts to see your estimate.
What counts: the rules of NCFM decision 46/2/2024

Net worth = net annual income + liquid assets − annual financial commitments

Net annual income (EUR)
Total income for the year after deducting taxes and social contributions: salaries, unemployment benefits, pensions, dividends, interest on deposits and bonds, rental and leasing income, and the like.
Liquid assets (EUR)
Money in savings and current accounts, and assets that can be turned into money easily and quickly: savings products you can draw on within 30 days at most; financial instruments traded on a regulated market; shares of an investment company or units of a fund redeemable at least once a week.
Not liquid: property; personal belongings (a car, jewellery and the like); contributions to a voluntary pension fund; shares that cannot be freely sold or transferred, including earlier crowdfunding investments.
Annual financial commitments (EUR)
Everything you have committed to pay in a calendar year: maintenance and alimony, rent and mortgage payments, loan repayments, insurance premiums, utilities (electricity, heating, water), subscriptions, income tax and property tax.
Reference date
Liquid assets and commitments are valued at 31 December of last year, and income is last calendar year’s. If that date does not reflect your situation accurately, pick a later one, up to today: assets and commitments are then valued at that day, and income is that of the 12 months before it.

To invest, the verification questionnaire asks for this result: it holds the same simulator. Create an account →
